Training for Pulling

The Samoyed is a original Sledge Dog. So its wise, to use him as a Sledge Dog. But there are many options of activities for the Samoyed. And its also very important to make brain work with Samoyeds.

Since our Dogs are aged older than one year and we know, that they have no hip dysplasia, we make training with the sledge. We use a lightweight model, the Husky-Buggy from Danler. So we can use it also with only one Dog. In this time our son Thomas is the musher, because he is also very lightweight and so it’s easier for the Dog.

We also use a Dogscooter, when we have no Snow. Here we have the model xh-4 with special utilities. So it’s also very funny, to use it with only one Dog.

Our Dogs like it, to pull the Sledge or the Dogscooter.

Other training and having fun

In all seasons of the year we like to make excursions with our dogs. Makani and Päivi likes it, to play Frisbee and to make Agility. Especially they likes to drive a ball. Our Dogs also likes it to search things, but most of all they search for something to eat. It’s worth, to begin the training with the puppies early.

Additional we make different exercises from Dogdancing for brain work.

Training for Dog Show

For a good handling at a dog show it’s needful, to make a special training.

When a Dog should be exposed at a Dog Show, you have to make a special training. You can start to make a training with the puppies in little and short exercises. With Makani we started the training at the age of 6 months. With Päivi we started the training earlier.
